Add an Advertiser
Advertisers are the companies that fund campaigns on OffZio. When you add an advertiser, you create their company record, their login account, and the relationship your network will use for campaigns, conversions, and billing.
This guide explains the Create New Advertiser form: how to open it, which fields are required, and what happens after you save.
What this page does
Use Add an Advertiser when a new advertising partner is ready to run offers on your network. Completing the form creates:
- A company profile that appears in the Advertiser list and on campaigns.
- A contact person with a login email and password.
- An optional address and an assigned OffZio team member (account manager).
- Private internal notes that only network staff can see.
Note: The in-app screen title is Create New Advertiser. In this help article we call the same action Add an Advertiser.
Who can add an advertiser
Only a Network Admin can create advertiser accounts. Publishers and advertisers cannot add other advertisers.
If you need to confirm your role, check the profile card at the bottom of the sidebar or the top-right of the header. It should show a name and role such as OffZio Admin · Network Admin
.
How to open the form
You can start from either the Dashboard or the Advertiser module:
- Sign in as a Network Admin.
- On the Dashboard, open the Shortcuts panel and click + Add Advertiser.
- Or open Advertiser in the left sidebar and choose the control that creates a new advertiser.
The form opens with two actions in the top-right: Cancel and Save Changes.
Cancel and Save Changes
- Cancel — Closes the form without creating an advertiser. Unsaved entries are discarded.
- Save Changes — Validates the form and creates the advertiser if required fields are complete and the passwords match.
Tip: Review the email and assigned team member before you click Save Changes. Those two values control how the partner logs in and who owns the relationship inside OffZio.
Required fields
Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) must be filled before OffZio will save the advertiser.
- Company Name
- First Name
- Last Name
- Password
- Confirm Password
Phone, address fields, team assignment, and internal notes can be completed later if you do not have them yet. Password is required and must be at least 8 characters.
Company Name
Company Name is required. The placeholder is Enter company name.
Enter the advertiser’s company or brand name exactly as you want it to appear in OffZio — in the Advertiser list, campaign assignment, reports, and billing. Use the legal or trading name partners will recognize, not an internal nickname.
Contact
The Contact section creates the person who will sign in to the advertiser account.
- First Name (required) — Placeholder: John.
- Last Name (required) — Placeholder: Doe.
- Email (required) — Placeholder: john@example.com. This is the advertiser’s login email. It must be unique in OffZio.
- Phone (optional) — Placeholder: +1 (555) 000-0000.
Note: The email address is both the contact email and the username for login. Give the partner this email together with the password you set, or ask them to reset it after you create the account.
Password
The Password section shows this note under the heading: Required. Min 8 characters.
- Password (required) — The advertiser’s login password.
- Confirm Password (required) — Must match Password exactly.
OffZio will not save the form if the two passwords differ or if the password is shorter than 8 characters. Share the password through a secure channel. Do not put it in Internal Note unless your team’s policy requires a temporary record.
Tip: Use a unique, strong password of at least 8 characters. Avoid reusing a password from another advertiser or from an internal OffZio account.
Address
Address fields are optional at create time, but filling them now helps billing and record-keeping later.
- Country — Dropdown. Placeholder: Select country.
- State — Placeholder: California.
- City — Placeholder: Los Angeles.
- Postal Code — Placeholder: 90001.
- Street Address — Placeholder: 123 Main Street.
Assign to Team Member
Assign to Team Member is a dropdown that sets the internal OffZio user who owns this advertiser relationship. The selected value looks like a name plus email — for example, OffZio (teamone@offzio.com).
That person becomes the account manager for the advertiser: they are the default owner for follow-up, campaign setup, and internal questions. Assign the teammate who will actually work with this partner, not a shared mailbox unless that is your process.
Internal Note
Internal Note is a free-text area. The placeholder is Internal notes (not visible to advertiser).
Use it for private network information: contract terms, payment expectations, geo restrictions, or why the partner was onboarded. These notes stay inside OffZio for Network Admins and staff. They are not shown to the advertiser when they log in.
Note: Never put the advertiser’s password, payment card numbers, or other secrets in Internal Note if your security policy forbids it. Treat the field as visible to other network staff.
Step-by-step: add an advertiser
- Open + Add Advertiser from Dashboard Shortcuts or from the Advertiser menu.
- Enter Company Name.
- Enter First Name, Last Name, and a unique Email.
- Optionally add Phone.
- Create a password of at least 8 characters and enter the same value in Confirm Password.
- Fill Address if you have it.
- Choose the correct person in Assign to Team Member.
- Add any private comments in Internal Note.
- Click Save Changes.
- If something is missing, fix the highlighted required fields and save again.
What happens after you save
When save succeeds, OffZio creates the advertiser record and login. You can then:
- Find the company in the Advertiser list.
- Tell the contact to sign in with the Email and Password you set.
- Create campaigns and attach this advertiser as the funding partner.
- Use Login as Advertiser from the Dashboard Shortcuts if you need to confirm what the partner sees.
Tip: After the first login works, return to your Network Admin session before you change Settings or approve billing.
Best practices
- Use the real company or brand name, not a temporary label like “Test 3”.
- Use a unique email the partner actually checks. Duplicate emails will fail on save.
- Set a strong password of at least 8 characters and confirm it carefully.
- Assign the team member who will manage the account day to day.
- Put only internal context in Internal Note. The advertiser cannot see it.
- Create the advertiser first, then add campaigns for them from the Dashboard or Campaign menu.
Common issues
- Passwords do not match — Re-enter Password and Confirm Password so they are identical, and check that both are at least 8 characters.
- Email already exists — That address is already used by another OffZio user. Use a different email, or open the existing advertiser instead of creating a duplicate.
- Missing required fields — Complete every field marked with a red asterisk (*): Company Name, First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, and Confirm Password.
- Wrong team member selected — Change Assign to Team Member before saving, or edit the advertiser after save if the wrong manager was chosen.
