News Management Settings

News Management is where a Network Admin writes announcements for publishers and advertisers — payout notes, campaign changes, policy updates, and other partner-facing news.

The page title is News Management. The subtitle reads: Create and manage news articles for publishers and advertisers. Use + Create News to add an article. An empty list shows No news articles found.

What news is for

Articles you create here are partner announcements, not internal admin notes and not email templates.

  1. Tell publishers about offers, payouts, or portal changes.
  2. Tell advertisers about account or campaign policy that belongs in their news area.
  3. Keep a draft until the wording is ready, then publish to one audience.

Note: Publishing an article is not enough if that audience cannot open News in their portal. For publishers, Publisher Portal Settings → News must have Page is visible to Publishers ON. Team members also need the matching News permission under Roles & Permissions (Publish For Publisher or Publish For Advertiser) to publish.

Who can manage news

Network Admin opens this page and creates articles. Other team roles only publish if their role includes the News permissions above.

Publishers and advertisers do not open Settings → News & Updates. They only see published articles in their portal when that News page is visible.

Confirm your role on the sidebar profile card if you are unsure. It should show a name and role such as OffZio Admin · Network Admin.

How to open News Management

  1. Sign in as a Network Admin.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
  3. Under Communication, click News & Updates.

Empty state and Create

If you have not created any articles yet, the list shows No news articles found. Click + Create News to open Create New News.

After you create an article, it appears on the News Management list. This article does not invent list columns, edit screens, or delete controls we have not seen. If you can open an article later in the product, change only the same kind of fields described here.

Create New News — fields

The form title is Create New News. The subtitle reads: Create a new news article for publishers and advertisers.

  1. Title — Placeholder: Enter news title.
  2. Description — Text area. Placeholder: Enter news description.
  3. Thumbnail URL (optional) — Placeholder: https://example.com/image.jpg.
  4. Status — Draft or Published. Draft is shown selected on a new article.
  5. Visible For — Publishers or Advertisers. Publishers is shown selected. Only these two options were visible.
  6. Pin this news to top — Checkbox. Pin keeps the article at the top of the news list for that audience.
  7. Cancel — Closes without creating.
  8. Create News — Saves the article.

Note: This article does not invent a Both option. If the live dropdown still has only Publishers and Advertisers, create two articles (one per audience) when both groups need the same announcement. Recheck the dropdown in the product if it later gains more choices.

Draft vs Published

  1. Draft — Not shown live. Use this while you write or wait for approval.
  2. Published — Visible to the selected audience, if that portal’s News page is enabled.

A published publisher article still stays hidden from affiliates when Page is visible to Publishers is OFF on the Publisher Portal News tab.

Visible For

  1. Publishers — Aimed at affiliates in the publisher portal News area.
  2. Advertisers — Aimed at advertisers in their news area.

One article targets one of those two audiences. Do not assume a single post reaches both unless the live product shows another choice.

Pin

Check Pin this news to top for urgent or standing announcements (payout calendar, policy, holiday hours). Unpin later if the product lets you edit the article; this article does not invent an unpin-only control.

Common tasks

Create a draft

  1. Open Settings → Communication → News & Updates.
  2. Click + Create News.
  3. Enter Title and Description. Add a Thumbnail URL only if you have an image address.
  4. Leave Status as Draft.
  5. Choose Visible For (Publishers or Advertisers).
  6. Click Create News.

Publish to publishers

  1. Confirm your role can Publish For Publisher under Roles & Permissions.
  2. In Publisher Portal Settings → News, turn Page is visible to Publishers ON and save.
  3. Create (or update) the article with Visible For set to Publishers and Status set to Published.
  4. Click Create News.
  5. Optionally use Login as Publisher from the Dashboard to confirm the article appears.

Pin an update

  1. Open + Create News (or open the article later if edit is available).
  2. Write Title and Description.
  3. Set Status to Published and Visible For to the audience that must see it first.
  4. Check Pin this news to top.
  5. Click Create News.

Best practices

  1. Write drafts first for legal or payout language; publish only when the text is final.
  2. Use one audience per article. Duplicate the post if both publishers and advertisers need it.
  3. Pin sparingly. Several pinned items reduce the value of the top slot.
  4. Thumbnail URL is optional. Skip it if you do not have a stable image address.
  5. After you hide the publisher News page, do not expect affiliates to see published articles until you turn visibility back on.
