Publisher Portal Settings

Publisher Portal Settings control what affiliates see after they sign in to OffZio: which pages are visible, whether they can change theme or payment method, whether they can manage campaign postbacks, and whether the referral program is on.

The page subtitle reads: Configure publisher portal settings, visibility, and features. This article documents the tabs we can see. It is not a publisher-facing user guide.

What this setting controls

A Network Admin uses this screen to shape the publisher (affiliate) portal:

Default look (light or dark) and whether the publisher can change it.
Whether publishers can refer other publishers and earn extra commission.
Whether News, Campaign, Billing, Settings, and related pages appear in the publisher login.
Whether publishers can add or delete their own campaign postbacks.
Whether publishers can edit their payment method.

Note: These toggles affect what publishers see after login. They do not create publisher accounts. To add an affiliate, see Add a Publisher. Public self-registration is controlled on Sign Up Page Settings.

Who can change Publisher Portal Settings

Only a Network Admin should change these options. Publishers cannot open this Settings page.

Confirm your role on the sidebar profile card if you are unsure. It should show a name and role such as OffZio Admin · Network Admin.

How to open Publisher Portal Settings

Sign in as a Network Admin.
In the left sidebar, click Settings.
Under Network Settings, click Publisher Portal.

Horizontal tabs: General, Dashboard, News, Campaign, Reports, Billing, and Settings. Every tab has Save Changes. Nothing is live until you save.

Note: Dashboard and Reports follow the same page-visibility idea as the other tabs (what publishers can see for Dashboard and Reports). This article does not list extra toggles for those two tabs. Open them in the product and save after you change whatever visibility controls appear there.

Visibility ON vs OFF

ON — That page (or feature) appears in the publisher portal.
OFF — Publishers do not see that page or cannot use that feature, even if they know it exists on the Network Admin side.

Tip: For a new network, start conservative: show Campaigns and Billing so affiliates can work, but keep payment-method edit and Manage Postback off until you trust the partner.

General tab

Default Theme — Dropdown. Example: Light. Help text: Choose a Light or Dark theme as default for Publisher Portal. This is the theme new publisher sessions start with.
Publisher can change theme — Toggle, shown OFF. When off, publishers keep the default theme. When on, they can switch Light / Dark themselves.
Enable Referral Program — Toggle, shown OFF. Help text: Allow publishers to bring new publishers to your network and earn additional commission from their revenue.

When the referral program is on, OffZio can record who brought a new affiliate. On Manage Publishers, a publisher’s details page shows Referred By and Referral Commission. Turn the program on here before you expect those referral fields to matter for new sign-ups.

Note: Enabling referrals does not by itself pay anyone. Commission still depends on how you configure each publisher. See Manage Publishers for those fields.

News tab

Page is visible to Publishers — Toggle, shown ON. When on, publishers can open the News area in their portal. When off, News is hidden.

Campaign tab

Page is visible to Publishers — Shown ON. Publishers can browse campaigns they are allowed to run.
Manage Postback is visible to campaign details page — Shown ON. Help text: If you turn on this option, publishers will be able to add or delete postback from a specific campaign details page.

Note: Only enable Manage Postback if you trust publishers to set their own campaign postbacks. A wrong postback can miss conversions or fire duplicates. If you prefer the network to own tracking, turn this OFF and keep campaign visibility ON.

Billing tab

Page is visible to Publishers — Shown ON. Publishers can see billing / payout information in their portal.
Publisher can edit the Payment Method — Shown OFF. Network Admins set payout details (see Billing Preferences on Manage Publishers and Publisher Billing).

Note: Leave payment-method edit OFF until you trust the affiliate. Turning it ON lets publishers change how they get paid. Wrong beneficiary or method details delay payouts.

Settings tab

Settings is visible to Publishers is the master switch for the publisher Settings area (shown ON). Nested Visible Pages only matter if Settings itself is visible:

Profile page visible to publishers — Shown ON.
Global Postback page visible to publishers — Shown ON.
API page visible to publishers — Shown ON.

Tip: If Settings is OFF, publishers will not see Profile, Global Postback, or API even if those nested toggles are ON. Turn Settings on first, then choose which nested pages to expose.

Recommended defaults for a new network

Default Theme: Light (or your brand preference). Keep Publisher can change theme OFF until you care.
Keep Enable Referral Program OFF until you have a referral commission process.
Keep News, Campaign, Billing, and Settings visible if you want a full affiliate portal.
Keep Publisher can edit the Payment Method OFF. Admins enter payout details.
Consider Manage Postback OFF until publishers are trained on your postback format.
Hide API or Global Postback under Settings if you do not want affiliates to self-serve those features yet.

Step-by-step: change a portal setting

Open Settings → Network Settings → Publisher Portal.
Select the tab you need (General, News, Campaign, Billing, Settings, or Dashboard / Reports).
Change the dropdown or toggle.
Click Save Changes on that tab.
Optionally use Login as Publisher from the Dashboard to confirm what the affiliate sees.

Note: Switching tabs does not save. Click Save Changes on each tab you edit.

Best practices

Decide visibility before you invite a large publisher list. Changing pages later confuses partners.
Do not give payment-method or postback edit rights to unvetted Pending affiliates.
After you save, impersonate a publisher and walk through Campaign, Billing, and Settings.
Referral program belongs with your commission policy — turn it on here, then maintain Referred By and Referral Commission on the publisher record.
Branding (logo, colors) is on Branding Settings, not this page. Theme here is only Light / Dark for the publisher portal.
